Beth's journey as an artist began at an early age. She would often go into her father's study and sketch him as he prepared his Sunday sermons. It was here that her future creative endeavors were born.In the following years, she continued to learn and be inspired by others. In the early 1970's she concentrated on landscape and still-life painting, using oil and acrylic. Most of her inspiration came from nature and rural settings. This led her to master the art of bas-relief and theorem painting - a traditional early American art form involving a sequence of stencils. Beth with her husband, a woodworker, were able to combine their artistic skills to earn their living while raising five children. Their work was sold in their travels to art shows across the United States and at their shop at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for 23 years. In 2003 Beth embraced the art of needlework and started creating her own designs. Designing and stitching give Beth the most joy of any artwork she has ever done. She is pleased to now offer patterns of her designs. Beth currently lives in Bloomington, Minnesota and enjoys being in the company of family and friends. She thanks God every day for blessing her with a creative mind.
